Getting the Most from Your To-Do List
I think I’ve mentioned before that I’m the “queen of lists”. If I haven’t, I’m mentioning it now.
But the problem with these lists is that they often get buried, lost or even thrown away. Who’s to know? Its our list, so if we don’t want to be accountable to it, we don’t have to be. Unfortunately, that’s why so many of our life’s to-do’s get recycled year after year. We’re just not getting around to them and since there’s nothing to hold us to it, no harm, no foul.
So being the queen of lists, I wanted to find a way to make myself at least try to work in some of the wonderful things I’ve always aspired to do. After all, that’s what life is all about isn’t it? If we’re not growing and expanding, then we’re just standing still and who wants to stand still for years at a time?
So, it should come as no surprise that I love 43 Things. Not only can I keep a running list of life’s “to-do’s”, but I can blog about them as well AND I can sneak a peek at what others are wanting to do which equates to a big boost of inspiration.
So far, I’ve managed a list but hadn’t bothered blogging or sharing because… well… I’ve got enough blogging to do already. But then it hit me - what a great way to motivate myself to actually tackle some of those to-do’s!
And so, that’s exactly what I’m going to do.
If you look at my 43 Things list (included down at the bottom right corner for your convenience) you can see what I’ve added to the agenda so far. I’ll blog my progress there and here (along with any resources I find along the way) and hopefully, inspire some of my delightful readers to join in the fun and start working their list too.
Oh, come on… you know you’ve been wanting to do something… learn to tap dance… write a book… well, now’s the time.. I’ve even lined up a 24/7 support group for you
